WHO IS SOPHIE MAE REPPERT?
Sophie has been living and working in Los Angeles as an actress, voice-over artist, and writer. She made her TV debut on Showtime’s “The Affair” and recently starred in the award-winning short film “After Anyuta.” She received a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Short Film at the North Europe International Film Festival, and the film won the Audience Award and Best Team Performance in a Short Film at SFAAF Chile, as well as a Special Festival Mention at the 9th Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival. It premiered in the US on NoBudge in August 2020 and was selected for the HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.
She is a founding member of the sketch comedy production company “Lower The Bar” and has written and produced many of her own comedy shorts. Her short “Robbers” won Best Comedy Short at Philly Sketch Fest and Battle Of The Sketches in Texas.
Sophie is currently pursuing a master’s degree at The National Theatre School of Canada in Montréal. She received a BFA in acting from DePaul University in 2013 and has also studied at Roy Hart Centre Artistique in France and Walnut Hill School for the Arts in Natick, Massachusetts. She was also a resident artist at The Kitchen Theatre and The Hangar Theatre for many years.
Originally from Ithaca, NY, Sophie loves climbing tall mountains and creating elaborate dances with finger puppets in her spare time. If you remember anything about her, it should be that she loves doing laundry more than anything.
