WHO IS SOPHIE MAE REPPERT?
Sophie grew up jumping in the gorges of Ithaca, New York: land of hippies, nerds, and Patagonia vests. She spent her youth participating in regional theatre, and was a resident artist at The Kitchen Theatre and The Hangar Theatre for many years before leaving to attend Walnut Hill School for The Arts where she studied musical theatre. After graduating from Walnut Hill, Sophie received a BFA in acting from DePaul University during which she attended a summer intensive for vocal training at Roy Hart Centre Artistique in The-Middle-of-Nowhere, France (the real and factual name of the town).
These days Sophie is living and working in Los Angeles as an actress, voice-over artist, writer, and professional snacker. She made her TV debut on Showtime’s “The Affair,” and recently starred in the award-winning short film, ‘After Anyuta,’ receiving a nomination for Best Lead Actress in a Short Film at the North Europe International Film Festival, winning for Audience Award at SFAAF Chile, Best Team Performance in a Short Film at SFAAF Chile, Special Festival Mention at 9th Mumbai Shorts International Film Festival. It premiered in the US on NoBudge in August 2020 and was recently selected for HollyShorts Film Festival in Los Angeles, CA.
Sophie is a founding member of the sketch comedy production company “Lower The Bar,” and has written and produced many of her own comedy shorts. Her short “Robbers,” won Best Comedy Short at Philly Sketch Fest and Battle Of The Sketches in Texas.
Sophie is a certified yoga teacher and in her spare time enjoys climbing tall mountains and creating elaborate dances with finger puppets. If you remember anything about her, it should be that she loves doing laundry more than anything. If you can hire her at all, hire her for that.
